While a student at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Hokkaido University,he was active as a rider in endurance equestrian competitions.He later became a clinician.
After graduation, he worked as a veterinarian at one of the largest racehorse producing and breeding farms in Japan, working with mares, foals, yearlings and active racehorses in a variety of fields including clinical care and management.
In 2022, he became an independent veterinarian, specializing in racehorses and large animals, providing support to racehorse owners in purchasing horses, consulting for ranches, training young veterinarians and providing fecal worm egg testing services.
